In 2014 we started looking for a house which could combine a rural French lifestyle for us along with some rental potential. We believe we have found the perfect property – La Catusse, which we finally signed for on the 12th of December 2017. In reality we were hooked as soon as we arrived at the front of the house on that sunny day back in August. The elevated position of this 200 year old goat farm gave glorious panoramic views of the local village Bourgougnague and beyond. And when we got inside to see how the buildings had been so lovingly restored by the previous owners Lance and Louise, and to see the quality of work that had been done it was decision made!
La Catusse consists of two properties; the farmhouse and the gîte. It is our intention is to live in the farmhouse for most of the year but to rent it out during the months of July and August. During this period we will continue to live on site but in the gite, hopefully being available to our guests if required rather than an unwelcome presence! Apart from July and August the gîte will be available to rent on a self-catered or a B&B basis.
Having worked in the hospitality business it is our intention to endeavour to ensure you have a memorable stay at La Catusse. With this in mind we will provide quality bedlinen and house towels that will be changed weekly. Pool towels will also be available. We also intend offerring, for an additional charge, a variety of catering options – an arrival meal, breakfast, evening meals or barbeques. If you are interested in any of these please do not hesitate to get in touch.
We would love to welcome guests to our beautiful house and of course, the glorious countryside and fantastic climate that can be found in the Lot-et-Garonne region.
